    Apartments We Lease in Clifton

    Studios, one-bedroom apartments, and flats

Clifton is the most varied part of our portfolio: depending on availability we lease studios, one-bedrooms, and larger flats, all in older Cincinnati buildings with updated kitchens and baths. The mix exists because Clifton renters are a mix — graduate students, hospital staff, residents and fellows, and long-term neighborhood residents who have no interest in leaving.

Timing matters more in Clifton than anywhere else we operate. The leasing cycle here follows the academic calendar, so the widest selection appears in late winter through summer for August move-ins, and openings thin out in the fall. If you have a fixed start date for a program or a job, start looking two to three months ahead and call us rather than waiting for the perfect listing to post.

    • Graduate students, medical residents, and hospital staff
    • Renters who want to walk to daily errands and a movie theater
    • Anyone who wants to avoid a campus parking pass

    Living in Clifton

    Ludlow Avenue

The Ludlow business district is the neighborhood's front porch: the Esquire Theatre, a grocery, bakeries, coffee, and restaurants within a few blocks. It is genuinely walkable, which is unusual for Cincinnati outside the basin.

    Campus and the hospital district

The University of Cincinnati's main campus, UC Medical Center, Cincinnati Children's, and the Cincinnati VA are all clustered on Clifton's east edge — a short walk, bus ride, or bike from much of the neighborhood.

    Burnet Woods and Clifton Gaslight

Burnet Woods sits between the neighborhood and campus, and the Gaslight district's historic streets and lamps are the reason a lot of renters pick Clifton over newer housing closer to campus.

    Getting Around

Clifton is one of the better neighborhoods in Cincinnati for getting around without a car: campus and the hospitals are walkable or a short bus ride, Metro service on Clifton, Ludlow, and Vine is frequent, and downtown is roughly 10 minutes by car. Street parking is competitive during the academic year, so ask about parking on any specific building.
