Apartments We Lease in the University of Cincinnati Area

Student and medical-resident friendly units near campus

We lease apartments near the University of Cincinnati in the neighborhoods that ring Uptown, primarily Clifton and the streets between campus and the hospital district. These are conventional apartments in older buildings — not purpose-built student housing with per-bed leases — which is why they tend to suit graduate students, DAAP co-op students, medical residents and fellows, and hospital staff more than first-year undergraduates.

Practically, that means a standard 12-month lease on the whole unit, real kitchens, and quieter buildings than a dedicated student high-rise. Tell our leasing team which campus building you actually need to reach — DAAP, the medical campus, Langsam, or a specific lab — because a ten-minute difference in walk time is the whole decision for most people renting near a campus.

    • Graduate students and DAAP co-op students
    • Medical residents, fellows, and hospital staff
    • Anyone who wants a normal apartment instead of student housing

Living in the University of Cincinnati Area

Getting to DAAP and main campus

Units on the Clifton side of campus put DAAP, Langsam Library, and Nippert within a walk or a short bus ride, with Burnet Woods in between. That removes the campus parking problem entirely for most residents.

UC Medical, Children's, and the VA

The medical campus — UC Medical Center, Cincinnati Children's, and the Cincinnati VA — sits on the east side of Uptown. For residents, fellows, and staff working irregular hours, being able to walk or take a five-minute drive matters more than any amenity.

    Everyday life around Uptown

Ludlow Avenue covers groceries, coffee, and the Esquire Theatre; Short Vine and Corryville handle late-night food near campus. Downtown and Over-the-Rhine are about 10 minutes away when you want off the Uptown grid.

    Getting Around

This is the easiest part of Cincinnati to live in without a car. Metro bus service through Uptown is frequent, UC's own shuttle system covers campus, and most of our units near campus are within a walk or one short ride of where you need to be. Parking varies by building — always ask before you sign.

the University of Cincinnati Area Apartment Questions

Do you have apartments near the University of Cincinnati?
Yes — we lease units near DAAP and near UC Medical, mostly in Clifton and the neighborhoods bordering Uptown. Call (513) 394-6168 and tell us which campus building you need to reach and we will point you to the closest current openings.
Is this student housing with per-bed leases?
No. These are conventional apartments on standard leases for the whole unit, which is why they work best for graduate students, co-op students, residents, and staff rather than first-year undergraduates.
When do apartments near UC lease up?
The market follows the academic calendar. For an August move-in, start looking in late winter or spring; by mid-summer the selection near campus is thin.
    Can I walk to campus?
From many of our units near Clifton and Uptown, yes — or it is one short bus ride. Walk times vary a lot by building and by which campus building you are heading to, so ask us about the specific unit.
